Nicole Kidman has given a teeny update about a third season of Big Little Lies and we are pretty excited about it.
Just when it started to feel like the show might never come back to our screens, the actress revealed that there is ‘really good idea’ in place for another installment following the Monterey five.
Speaking to Marie Claire Australia about the hit HBO drama, the actress explained that the entire cast are very much up for creating another season.
She stated: ‘Reese [Witherspoon] and I talk or text once a week. She’s just moved back to Nashville and we’re really close. We all just want to work together again.
‘I texted Zoë [Kravitz] and Laura [Dern], and they’re in.’
The 53-year-old also explained how author Liane Moriarty and the show runner David E. Kelley had been putting an idea together.
Nicole told the publication: ‘David [E. Kelley] and Liane have a really good idea for it. Watch this space!’
The show was originally a limited series, but the network brought it back for season 2 and added Meryl Streep to the lineup.
The drama ended with the Zoe’s character, Bonnie, deciding to confess to killing Perry (Alexander Skarsgard) at the end of the first series.
And in the final scenes she was accompanied to the police station by the rest of the Monterey Five, but the actress recently revealed that wasn’t the original ending that had been planned.
Big Little Lies is available to stream on HBO in the US, and on Sky Atlantic and NOWTV in the UK.
