Tonight MTV launches its new series, Finding Carter.

Finding Carter follows the life of Carter, a teenage girl who learns that her fun, single mother Lori is actually a woman who kidnapped him when she was a baby. She will then find her real family, her twin sister and new friends, while vowing to keep a link with Lori.

In the cast of the series, we will find Kathryn Prescott in the role of Carter but also Milena Govich or Cynthia Watros.

Here’s what American critics think:

  • The pilot is charming. Finding Carter’s action starts quickly and doesn’t let us down. And if the sequel is to be believed, the drama is not over and should develop in earnest until the end of the season.
  • The pilot of “Finding Carter” proves that there is a lot of material to make an interesting soap. The unanswered question is, will the show devote more time to the story of Carter’s abduction, or will it choose to focus on teenage relationships?
  • Kathryn Prescott is a spellbinding lead.
