Lily James cancels Today Show US appearance after kissing photos emerge of her and Dominic West

Lily James has reportedly pulled out of her appearance on Monday morning’s episode of The Today Show in the US.

The British actress was set to join her Rebecca co-star Armie Hammer to promote their new film, but according to Page Six, the actress cancelled over the weekend.

At this stage, the 31-year-old is still slated to appear on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show on Thursday.

James, 31, made headlines with married British actor Dominic West, 50, last week after they were photographed looking romantic during a two-day trip to Rome. The pair play father and daughter in a new British drama, The Pursuit of Love.

James and West toured the city together on an electric scooter and were later seen kissing each other while dining at a restaurant. He was not wearing his wedding ring.

They spent two nights at the Hotel de la Ville, a two-minute walk away from the famed Spanish Steps.

Today, the Daily Mail published photos of James and West catching their flight back to the UK last Monday. Both wore masks as they waited to board their flight with British Airways. According to The Sun, they were seen kissing on the flight home.

Not long after the photos emerged, the Affair actor put on a united his front with his wife, aristocrat Catherine FitzGerald.

The couple, who share four kids and have been married for 10 years, stood outside their Wiltshite home in the UK on the morning of October 12 and held a piece of paper that read, “Our marriage is strong and we’re very much still together. Thank you.”

West and FitzGerald, 49, then kissed for photographers.

Similarly to when he was photographed in Rome, West did not wear his wedding ring while outside his home with his wife. Meanwhile, FitzGerald kept her left hand in her pocket the whole time.

West and Fitzgerald dated while he was studying English Literature at Trinity College in Dublin, but split up after university.

They later got back together and became engaged in 2007, marrying in 2010. The pair share daughters Dora, 13, and Christabel, seven, and sons Senan, 12, and Francis, 11.

West also has a daughter named Martha from a previous relationship.

West has previously opened up about infidelity, saying women should be more lenient when it comes to cheating because a “fling” should not be grounds for divorce.

“I think women should be more indulgent of affairs. I really do,” West told the Evening Standard in 2016. “It’s daft to kick someone out over a fling. Isn’t it? Everyone should turn a blind eye to men’s behaviour between the ages of 40 and 50. Let it all blow over… Milk and sugar?”
