Tyler Perry donates $430,000 to pay for layaways of around 1,500 people at two Georgia Walmarts

Tyler Perry played Santa Claus for many families this festive season when he paid off the layaways of around 1,500 people at two Walmarts in Georgia, reports said.

As reported by E!News, a source shared that Perry, one of the highest paid men in entertainment, donated around $432,635 to the stores. A layaway gives a customer a way to reserve a product at a retailer and then pay for it over a period of time.

According to a Walmart spokesperson, “Tyler Perry’s generous donation is making an unbelievable difference for so many families, and we can’t thank him enough for his kindness. The heartfelt excitement and joy we’re seeing from our customers as a result of his holiday gift has been touching.”
