The judge was forced to miss tonight’s live show as she had to quarantine after a trip to Germany, as per government guidelines.
Professional dancer Anton du Beke took her place on the panel following his exit from the competition with Jacqui Smith.
Motsi watched on from home, and appeared via a live link at the very end of the episode to give her thoughts on the evening – admitting she got very overexcited at points.
‘What an amazing show! I just have to say, from the beginning, up until the end, I’ve been so excited,’ she told Claudia Winkleman.
‘I think the neighbours are gonna call the police to come pick me up. You guys brought your game, and it was just so fantastic to watch.’
Motsi also took the moment to heap praise on Clara Amfo and Aljaž Škorjanec as they topped the leaderboard with 29 points.
‘You know actually, I’m so emotional right now, Clara, I don’t want to cry,’ she continued. ‘But I’m so happy that this happened for you because I have been saying you’ve got that power and you just needed to aim it right, and everything got together today.
‘You looked absolutely amazing, you looked beautiful. Everything was on top, and you just have to keep it up now, because now we know you can.’
Clara and Aljaz performed a stunning Charleston – with the judges tipping her for Glitterball success.
When asked what he thought of the Radio 1 DJ’s routine, Craig Revel Horwood answered: ‘I don’t want to see it again actually, until the final darling.’
She eventually got two 10s from Anton and Shirley – and a nine from Craig – jetting her to the very top of the leaderboard.
Will that be enough to see the pair safely through to next week’s show?
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Sunday, at 7.25pm, on BBC One.
