To ensure we process your order for our shortest delivery time all orders must be placed by 15:00. Orders placed after this time will be processed the next working day. Our usual days for delivery are the working days of Monday through Friday; however, we can arrange a Saturday delivery for an extra surcharge.

Delivery Charges

We pride ourselves in being able to offer value for money to our customers and therefore it is our policy to offer our best pricing. All our products are priced excluding any delivery charge and therefore this will be added to your order at the point of checkout. Before you put any details in you can put your postcode in the postcode checker at the checkout and it will calculate the delivery charge of your order before you go ahead.

Our delivery charges are the true cost. All delivery charges are calculated by the weight and bulk of an item and therefore the overall order.

Day of Delivery

Site Access

In most cases deliveries will be made by a large vehicle or van so we need to know the delivery address is accessible. If this is likely to be a problem, please inform us at the point of ordering – we can usually find a way around the problem. However, if we have not been informed of any access issues to your home or site and we are unable to deliver we reserve the right to charge a failed delivery charge and any further re-delivery charge as required by our supplier.

Delivery Point

Unfortunately, due to insurance restrictions, couriers who deliver larger items are only able to deliver items to the ‘kerbside’. It is not their responsibility to take the delivery into your home. We expect them to be helpful but it is advisable to make sure that there is adequate help to unload the delivery into your home.

If the courier is unable to make a delivery because you were not available, you may be liable for a charge for re-delivery and you may also be liable for restocking charges.

We strongly advise all customers to check all goods for any damage caused during transit, prior to signing for the goods. All goods must be signed for by a person over the age of 18. If you suspect that an item may be damaged in some way look for signs of external damage to the packaging and take pictures as you unpack and inspect the goods. All goods must be checked upon arrival for defects, damage, shortages or unsuitability. Notification of any issues with your order must be given to our courier immediately.

Please do not sign for goods as received without checking for visible defects, damages or shortages. as your signature is acceptance of the goods being received in good and serviceable condition, we cannot accept any claim for these issues after you have signed for the goods. If the damage hasn’t been visible we need notification of this within 24 hours otherwise we can’t issue a replacement/refund.

Planning Your Job

Beatsons Direct strongly suggest you do not book any trade person to complete a job involving goods ordered from us, until all parts of your order have been received in good order. We cannot accept any liability for any costs incurred due to damages, defects, faults, delays or issues with goods in transit.

Under the United Kingdom’s Distance Selling Regulations, you may return your purchase to us at your own cost for any reason within 14 days for a refund as long as the item is still unused, unopened and in good condition. Please note – you will only receive a refund of the cost of the goods received and not the delivery.

If we have not received notification of any return due to change of mind within 14 days from date of delivery it will be assumed that acceptance of the goods has taken place. Any subsequent claim will be subject to our discretion, and we reserve the right to choose whether to make a full refund.

We will not accept returns or cancellations for powder, aggregate, sand and gravel or bespoke or special order items. Special Order Items may be returned subject to the prior agreement of the manufacturer and your agreement to pay the re-stocking & collection charges. To return your order pack it securely and send it back to us so that we receive it within in 14 days of the date that item was delivered to you. Please note it is your responsibility for returning the goods at your own expense unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty. A refund will be issued as soon as possible but within 30 working days at the latest.

Goods ordered directly at one of our depots do not fall under the distance selling regulations. Any goods ordered directly at one of our depots that require to be returned will be subject to a 20% restocking charge. Where goods are required to be uplift for return we may also require to charge an uplift fee on top of the restocking fee. As with online orders we do not accept returns at depots for any powder, sand, gravel, aggregate, bespoke or special ordered items.
