The Illustrated Portraits highlights the magazine’s collision of music, culture and politics, featuring portraits of music icons including Bob Dylan, Elvis, the Beatles, Madonna, Beyoncé, Kanye West, Wu-Tang Clan, Beastie Boys, Taylor Swift, and Johnny Cash; major cultural figures like Barack Obama, Greta Thunberg, Robin Williams, and The Simpsons; and depictions of key moments in modern history from Woodstock to Watergate to Trump’s election. Contributors include some of the greatest names in art that have defined the magazine’s illustrated lexicon, such as Milton Glaser, Ralph Steadman, Shepard Fairey, Philip Burke, Jody Hewgill, Christoph Niemann and Mark Ryden.
