Paul Pogba has not been included in the Manchester United squad to play West Bromich Albion as he has picked up a knock on his ankle, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed.
The Frenchman has not been passed fit to play for the game at Old Trafford on Saturday evening, but it is hoped he can return for the Champions League clash against Istanbul Basaksehir on Tuesday.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said ahead of the Baggies game: ‘He [Pogba] tried to finish the last session but it [ankle] got worse and worse so he is unavailable today.
‘Hopefully he is OK for Tuesday [against Istanbul] but we’ll see.’
Meanwhile, Alex Telles makes his long-awaited Premier League debut for the Red Devils.
‘It’s a great chance for him [Telles], he has been waiting a long time to play,’ Solskjaer added. ‘He is such a fantastic character and as a player he has great quality which we will get to see.’
