No season 2 for The Code (US)

The verdict is in: CBS has just canceled its military drama The Code (US) after just one season.

The Code will not have a season 2, it is the star Dana Delany who has stating “Thanks to all the awesome people who watched The Code. Last night was our finale and sadly there won’t be any more. I will never be General. But I loved this cast of exceptional actors and I know our paths will cross again. Semper Fidelis “

The Code explored the most difficult legal challenges facing the US Navy Corps. At the center of the series were Marines who work together as prosecutors, defense attorneys, and investigators to serve their country with integrity, often putting aside their personal ideals in the name of justice.

In addition to Delany, the cast consisted of Luke Mitchell, Anna Wood, Phillipa Soo, Raffi Barsoumian and Ato Essandoh.

The Code debuted in April with 8.1 million viewers and a rate of 00.7 on the 18/49 target, but it aired exceptionally after NCIS. Hearings fell into its regular Monday time slot. The final series drew 2.9 million viewers, with a rate of 0.3.
