Nick Kyrgios appears to have split with his girlfriend Chiara Passari days after the Australian Open came to a close.
During the tennis tournament, the loved up pair shared a number of sweet messages to one another across social media, including public declarations of love on Valentine’s Day.
But the relationship seems to have soured with an emotionally charged text message exchange between the pair posted on Passari’s private Instagram account, according to Daily Mail Australia.
In the messages, Kyrgios appears to say says: “Bye… Hahaha you got a dude there hahahaha”
Adding: “You disgust me… haha”
Before signing off by saying, “Enjoy your life”.
Passari fires back accusing Kyrgios of hating himself and saying, “You just told me everything without even knowing hahahaha”
This prompted one final goodbye from the tennis player, who wrote: “Goodluck… Be in Canberra the rest of your life”.
The screenshot of the text messages, which has reportedly now been deleted, comes a day after Passari shared a cryptic post with her almost 36,000 followers.
Alongside an image of her laughing in the player’s box during the Australian Open, the caption, “Laughing at myself for believing”.
It’s not the first time Passari has shared a cryptic message that has caused speculation about the couple’s relationship.
In February, ahead of the tournament, she posted a text-filled image saying, “Cheaters always want you to be loyal while they’re being unfaithful”, and captioned the Instagram Story with “It keeps getting better yall” and upside-down smiley face emojis.
However, they were quick to quash cheating or break-up rumours.
During the Melbourne tournament, the Aussie tennis star even signed a message to his girlfriend on a camera, writing, “Miss u Chizzel”.
The 25-year-old then shared a photo of his girlfriend holding a huge bouquet of roses, gifted for Valentine’s Day, with a heartfelt message.
“It’s been a rollercoaster eight months. I want you to know that I’m incredibly thankful and blessed to have you by my side putting up with me and supporting me,” he wrote.
“I hope that I can make you feel special and give you everything you deserve. I’m so lucky to have you in my life.
“I promise that I will always try and be a better person every day and care and love for you.
“To many more Valentine’s days — and hopefully next time I can win a match if you come watch me play.”
Kyrgios and Passari began dating in July last year, months after his May split from Russian tennis player Anna Kalinskaya, who he had dated since the Acapulco Open in March 2019.
